REPORTS: Nicco Marchiol Gets Starting QB Nod at West Virginia

It was a QB battle that went down to the wire, but according to multiple reports, former Hamilton Husky Nicco Marchiol will get the starting nod for West Virginia on Saturday.

Machiol saw some game action last year filling in for injured starter Grant Greene, and he threw for 434 yards, scored seven total touchdowns will throwing two interceptions.

Marchiol had a high school career that totaled over 8,300 passing yards. He moved to Chandler during COVID and played his final two years with Hamilton.

In two years with the Huskies, he totaled 60 total touchdowns and 4,107 passing yards.

Sports360AZ caught up with West Virginia head coach Rich Rodriguez at Big 12 Media Days, and he gave his first impressions of Marchiol.
